One of the most beautiful towns in eastern part of Slovakia is Spišská Nová Ves. It is surrounded by colossal ring of hills and villages. Spišská Nová Ves is a part of Slovenské rudohorie. In the northern part there is Hornádska kotlina with territory around 400 - 500 meters above sea level. The southern part consists of Hnilecké and Volovské vrchy with about 1200 meters above sea level. In the western part of Spišská Nová Ves is the very gorgeous Slovak Paradise National Park.
It can be seen a very picturesque panorama of peaks of The High Tatras from the town and from the hills in Spišská Nová Ves.
